Graduating Ceremony, Class of 2024
Dear Board Members, Staff, Dignitaries, Contributors, Supporters and Volunteers,
On May 30, 2024, Village of Hope Orphanage held its annual graduation ceremony to celebrate academic achievements of our graduating students. The ceremony was a tremendous success, We would like to congratulate all the graduates for their hard work and for achieving this important goal.
The staff members at the Village of Hope worked diligently, preparing inspiring speeches, songs, dance, music, gorgeous flower arrangements, banners, gifts, educational books, and school supplies. In addition, plaques and a lovely bouquet of flowers were presented to all the supporters that attended this memorable event. Thank you VOH staff members.
A special thanks to Global Village Foundation Representative Mr. Ho Van Son. He spent a great deal of time sourcing 8 new electric scooters, 12 high-tech hearing aids, and 5 new bicycles. He also arranged payments and ensured delivery of all gifts in a timely manner. His efforts played an important role for the graduates and all the children at Village of Hope Orphanage. The main highlight was this year’s Graduating Class of 2024. Eight students turned eighteen years old and graduated from VOH. Global Village Foundation presented each student with a brand new electric scooter. Their smiles of happiness and joy was extremely heart-warming and the air was filled with excitement. The scooters will ensure each graduating student with transportation necessary to further their education, as well as the opportunity to lead productive lives as a young adults while following their dreams.
Global Village Foundation also purchased an additional 12 high-tech hearing aids, which were presented to other non-graduating students at the graduation ceremony. These children will now have the chance to enjoy many things we take for granted: hearing the voice of a friend, a soft sweet whisper, laughter, birds chirping, music, and also the sounds of everyday life. Having the high-tech hearing aids will enhance learning capabilities, but most importantly will provide opportunities and improve their quality of life.
Global Village Foundation also presented 5 new bicycles to the Village of Hope Orphanage. Another happy moment as bright smiles lit up the room. An additional 15 new bicycles are on order and will be delivered to the VOH orphanage shortly. The children can enjoy the benefit of riding their new bikes, feel the wind on their faces, and just take pleasure of being a child.
Mrs. Le Ly Hayslip created the village of Hope Orphanage in 1993. Her dedication and commitment of 31 years to support disadvantaged children is beyond outstanding. Her kindness, empathy, and perseverance are extraordinary. She is the mother and guardian angel of Village of Hope Orphanage. We can all benefit by learning something from Mrs. Hayslip’s wonderful and kind-natured heart.
Last, we wish to extend a heartfelt and sincere thank you to all contributors, supporters and volunteers. Global Village Foundation continues to utilize all donations with priority given to the care and nurturing of the children. Funding is allocated to Village of Hope daily operations, essential programs & projects, health care, education, school uniforms, graduation ceremonies, and much more. Your donations make a positive impact for opportunities, better quality of life, and a brighter future.
